Precision crafted apparatuses for unmatched dynamic clarity
Rugged durability yields years of dependable service
Plug and play setup, intuitive system operation
Comprehensive experiments and solutions save instructor time
Multi-configurable plants support full spectrum of curriculum needs

Each system comes complete with all the hardware, software, and easy-to-follow instructions necessary for efficient laboratory experimentation. The systems set up in three easy steps:

  1. Install DSP board in your PC or connect via RS-232
  2. Load software on PC hard drive
  3. Plug-in cables between DSP board, electronics, & mechanism - and begin

With the default control values you can setup and control each system in minutes and perform meaningful experiments the very same day!

All system components are made to the highest industrial standards. They have been proven to reliably stand up to many years of continual student use while providing high performance control and data processing. Advanced data processing and intuitive interface software let you immediately implement your control design - either ECP provided or your own - and characterize system behavior. Easy-to-follow instructions guide you through set-up, system operations. Sections on theory, experiments, and detailed instructor solutions greatly accelerate student learning and save you time in lesson praparation. Please select from the above photo or from the following list for more detailed information.

All systems are also available in a "Plant-only" form. This option includes the mechanism with sensors and actuator(s), the I/O Electronics unit with servo amplifiers, cabling, and the same manual as the turn-key systems (portions not applicable, including specifics of experiment procedures). The user must supply the control processor, a DAC output for control effort, and encoder counters for feedback processing. The control effort / servo amp. interface is +/-10 VDC and the encoder output is A-quad-B (5V TTL).
